120 Years of Buster Keaton

Before the day draws to a close, I wanted to make a short and sweet post to celebrate the 120th birthday of my favorite person in cinematic history. I felt inspired to make a drawing of him in monochromatic pink, and I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out in such a short amount of time.

I also stopped by the cemetery this afternoon to pass along my birthday greetings, and this time, there were some bright yellow flowers resting near his headstone. It was my second time visiting, but it still feels too unreal to wrap my head around everything. To me, Buster Keaton is still very much alive through his films and through others who admire him, and I think that’s the most wonderful thing.

❤ Happy Birthday, Buster Keaton! ❤

  1. What gorgeous drawings!! They ARE Buster–even in pink!

I visited Buster’s grave at the end of this past May (or perhaps it was the very beginning of June), and it looks like I need to tidy up the grass around his marker again. ;-)
